There is a new firmware version 1.10.1 available now, see the article about it here: https://survivethegig.com/wing-firmware-version-1-10-1-current-version/
WING Firmware 1.09 – My Take:
Behringer is showing their commitment to continuing improvements, this update coming only five weeks after the last previous. Version 1.09 is mostly functional updates, making it easier to get to functions or see how things are configured, primarily improving the channel home screen, and it is good to see Berhinger continue these improvements. There is an added plugin, the Midas Sub Monster which looks like it was ported over from the Midas Pro Series and it should be a welcomed addition for many users and setups.
Release notes from Behringer
The console 1.09 firmware update offers some functional improvements and new features. The highlights of this update are the new Midas Sub Monster Effect and new assignment screens for DCAs and Mute Group. Besides a new Tab-View, the routing screens provide new features like indication of all connected AES50 and StageCONNECT devices. This update also offers some UI improvements like PRE- Tap indication on the channel home screen or metering for the WING Live Recorder/Player and some general Bug fixes.
This new WING Firmware version contains:
New Features:
Midas Sub Monster Effect
The Sub Monster is a 5 band Sub Harmonic Generator. Using the “Tune” knob you adjust the frequency of the center band (band three). The other bands will follow and adjustments are in 0.1 Hz increments so it can be fined tuned to your channel, bus, or program material. This could be useful to add low end to drums, bass, special effects, and video playback.

Updated Channel Home Screen
The channel strip/effects in/out icon has been updated to make it easier to differentiate and quickly tell if they are bypassed. Touching the Channel Icon in the top left will bring up the new Quick Channel Select. You can also see the new Tab Views For channel customization and tags (examples below).

Tab-View for customization, naming and tags in Channel Home
Icon/Color allows customization of the channels Icon and Color.

The Name Tab allows you to quickly name the channel.

The Tags Tab is where you can quickly assign the channel to DCA’s and Mute Groups.

Update Firmware
Since firmware update 1.07, firmware can be updated from a USB drive loaded in the top of the mixer. If you have a firmware lower than 1.07 you will need to us the WING’s OS Access mode. See our article and video on how to do this here: https://survivethegig.com/wing-how-to-update-firmware-using-wing-os-access-mode/
Is it possible to have a tap point that is post fader & pre “post fader INS”. In other words between fader and post fader insert. Thanks
