WING Firmware Version 1.11 (Current Version)

WING Firmware 1.10.1 – My Take:

Firmware Version 1.10.1 is only different from 1.10 due to a couple of bug fixes but it is worth updating since they affect the mixer’s stability. The features added are all ones that should have been included with the mixer from the start, so while there is nothing to get too excited about, the features are helpful. I highly recommend using the sends on fader indicators to help keep track of when you are or are not in sends on fader mode. I would think most users will appreciate the ability to sync channels with sources and use that feature more often than not since that is a more tradition workflow but you may really like the separation of channels and sources. Let me know in the comments if you do or if you are looking forward to having them synced. Small features like bypassed effects being greyed out on the effects overview page and channel color LED turning off when no source is selected are simple but will eventually probably help you avoid or troubleshoot a problem, so they are welcomed additions.

Update Firmware

Since firmware update 1.07, firmware can be updated from a USB drive loaded in the top of the mixer. If you have a firmware version lower than 1.07 you will need to us the WING’s OS Access mode. See our article and video on how to do this here: https://survivethegig.com/wing-how-to-update-firmware-using-wing-os-access-mode/
